GIS Downloads:

This page is for PA County Conservation Districts to install the DGRoads customized GIS Software. If this page does not apply to you, please visit the other GIS links to learn more the programs GIS system.

All of the programs and data packages described below are self installing. Once you download the executable file, simply open it to start the installation process. When prompted with options during the installation process, accept the default options. You will need to have administrative rights to your computer to install the data and software below. Once everything is installed, you will not need administrative rights to run the program. Please see the installation guide at the link below for more detailed information.

This page is to install county-specific DGRoads software. Anyone looking for general statewide GIS data should go to the GIS Resources page.

 

Important Information:

Latest DGRoads version: 5.3.2 (the version you are using will appear in the top title bar when you are running the DGRoads program)

WORSKITE DATA NOTICE: Please note that the worksite data here is only updated as of the last Annual Summary Report. Any changes made at the District after the last summary report would not be included in these files. Contact Steve Bloser if your County Worksite data is unavailable for download.

DGRoads Software and Data Downloads:

The steps below are to install DGRoads and all data on a new computer. If you already have DGRoads installed and working on your computer and simply want to update to the current version, Step 2 below is the only thing you need to do. This will not change the worksite data on your computer at all.

 

Step 1: Download and Install MapWindow

The 32-bit version of MapWindow 4.7.5 is required to successfully use the Dirt and Gravel Roads GIS (DGRoads) software. Download and install the application with the link provided below. See Installation Guide for more details.

Note: if you have an older version of MapWindow installed, you should uninstall it before installing the new version below.

Step 2: Download and Install DGRoads 5.3.2

Download and install the current version of DGRoads with the link provided below. To see what changes have been made to the latest version, click here.

Step 3: Download and Install Your County Data

Locate your County data below. Download and install BOTH the User data and Worksite data with the links provided below. The User Data download contains all the required shapefiles (excluding the worksites), topographic maps, and aerial photographs. The Worksite Data download contains the worksites and administration/education data.
